Zion in Our Community

We, at Zion Mortgage Solutions support our local community and are committed to help it reach its full potential. We do this by contributing our time, talent, and treasure toward selected endeavors that help build a strong sense of community and leave a life long legacy of hope to all future generations. At Zion, we have based our personal goals and objectives on a commitment to character, customers, and community. Therefore, in accordance with biblical principles, we commit 1/10th of our earnings to community projects.

Some of the organizations which Zion Mortgage Solutions has been proud to provide support to are:

  • Marion-Grant County Youth Council
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • First Light Child Advocacy Center
  • Marion's Hispanic Roundtable Literacy Project
  • Calvary Baptist Church's Annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner

In addition, Zion Mortgage Solutions is in the process of forming a non-profit organization called REACH, Inc.

REACH, Inc. is being formed to:

  • increase public awareness of nonprofit activities
  • support and conduct nonpartisan research, educational and informational activities to increase public awareness of nonprofit activities
  • provide research and information to foundations and corporate giving programs about the needs of organizations that serve or advocate for disadvantaged people
  • research the contribution patterns of foundations and corporate giving programssponsor reports, meetings and workshops for nonprofits about how to obtain charitable contributions
  • conduct research and education about funding of nonprofit organizations
  • sponsor other services to strengthen the stability of the nonprofit sector
  • educate the public about the funding needs of organizations that provide services or advocacy for disadvantaged people

In its initial year, REACH, Inc. coordinated a Christmas event which enabled fifty local children the opportunity to select $200.00 of new clothing and shoes at participating stores in the North Park Mall.

In 2005, the REACH, Inc. Christmas event enabled 68 kids to go shopping for Christmas and we spent $14,000 at the North Park Mall on that special evening! Over 200 members of our community came together on that amazing evening to volunteer in assisting to make dreams come true for children in our community. Our county is blessed because of those generous people who unselfishly gave of their time, talents and treasure to make sure that someone else experienced the giving of CHRISTmas.
